Matisyahu in the Philippines

Just had a look on Google Trends and for the term Matisyahu – The country showing the most interest in the Philippines.
This is fascinating and surprising to me.
If you are aware of the scene in the Philippines or care to share your ideas on why Matisyahu is so big in the Philippines – please comment.

Post Pesach Kool Klezmer event in London

I saw this interesting event on this site
The venue is on the historically famous Cable Street in the once very jewish east end of London link

Death Puppet Klezma Jam + Benny & The Cheesegrinder

Sunday 12 April 2015 from 7.30pm
Tickets £6

Listen to Klezma/Balkan beats whilst being mesmorised by the table puppetry

Followed by the excellent Benny & The Cheesegrinder an exciting London four piece who rock the Klezmer, Eastern European sound whilst bringing in a refreshing mix of Celtic and Euro folk sounds.

A night not to be missed.
